Many notable chains, including Asda, Farmhouse Inns, Hungry Horse, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Sizzling Pubs, and Tesco, have introduced offers where children can eat for free or at a reduced rate. Among them are some venues that may be less familiar but equally enticing, such as Bills and Yo! Sushi.

Beefeater, Brewers Fayre, and Table Table:
For families dining at these chains, purchasing an adult breakfast allows two children under 16 to eat breakfast for free. The cooked breakfast buffet is £10.99, and the continental breakfast is priced at £8.99.
Bella Italia:
This Italian chain offers free meals for children aged 11 and under on Thursdays when accompanied by an adult purchasing a meal. From Sunday to Wednesday, between 4pm and 6pm, children can enjoy a meal for just £1 with an adult meal purchase. The deal includes three courses and a drink, with options such as pizza, pasta, garlic bread, and doughballs.
Bills:
Throughout the summer holidays, from 22 July to 30 August, two children can eat for free all day from Monday to Friday at Bills when an adult orders a main dish. The children’s menu includes dishes like buttermilk pancakes, mac and cheese, and fish fingers with chips.
Dobbie’s Garden Centre:
In addition to free entrance to the garden centre, Dobbies cafes offer a free children’s breakfast with any adult breakfast. Alternatively, kids can enjoy a free hot meal or a pick ‘n’ mix lunchbox with any adult main course purchased. This offer is available daily and includes a free drink.
Ikea:
Known for its affordability, Ikea’s children’s meals are priced consistently low, even outside the summer season. Their offerings include mac and cheese or tomato pasta for 95p, and children’s versions of the meat or plantballs with sides for £1.50.
OK Diners:
Families on the move can stop at OK Diners where children under 10 can eat for free from the kids’ menu when an adult purchases a main dish from the a la carte menu. This offer is available all day, every day at all locations except for those on the A1.
Pausa Cafe at Dunelm:
With a purchase of just £4 at Pausa Cafes located within Dunelm stores, a free kids’ meal can be availed. This includes a mini main, two snacks, and a drink, available all day, every day at all Dunelm stores nationwide.
Pizza Express:
From 22 July to 11 August, Pizza Express offers free Piccolo meals for children under 10 when an adult orders a main dish. The Piccolo meal includes three courses featuring favourites like dough balls, pizzas, pastas, desserts, and a bambinoccino.
TGI Fridays:
Children can enjoy a free meal daily at TGI Fridays when an adult meal is purchased by a member of their rewards program. Options from the Little League or Major League menu include the Chicken Burger, Fridays Hotdog, or Crispy Chicken Tenders, valid for children up to 12 years old.
Travelodge and Premier Inn:
Both chains offer free breakfast for up to two children aged 15 or under when an adult orders breakfast. Their locations, nearly 600 across the UK, offer a range of breakfast options from traditional cooked breakfasts to lighter choices such as yoghurts, fruit salads, and pastries.
Yard and Coop:
At Yard and Coop, children can eat for free every day except Saturday from 12pm to 6pm when accompanied by an adult ordering a meal. The free meal includes a main course, dessert, and a soft drink, with options like chicken nuggets, chicken burgers, or vegan deep-fried seitan.
Yo! Sushi:
From 1 July to 30 August, children can enjoy a free bento box at Yo! Sushi when a paying adult spends at least £10. This offer allows up to three children under the age of 12 to benefit.
Popeyes UK’s New Kids’ Menu
In parallel with these family-friendly offers, Popeyes UK has launched a new children’s menu item, the Chicken Sandwich Poppy Meal. Available from 22 July, the meal is a miniature version of their renowned chicken sandwich, complete with lettuce and an option of mayo, ketchup, or plain. Served in a warm brioche-style bun, the meal also includes a choice of a Kids Salad or fries, a drink like Fruit Shoots, and it is packaged in a box featuring their mascot Poppy. The box comes with crayons and an activity sheet.
Popeyes UK’s Head of Food, Dave Hoskins, expressed enthusiasm about the new menu, highlighting that this is the first time a mini Chicken Sandwich has appeared on their menus. The Poppy Meal is priced at £1.99 for a limited period, providing an affordable dining option for families.
