Bioniq, a leader in personalised nutrition, has raised $15 million in a Series B funding round to enhance its global presence and product development, following significant growth in the U.S. market.

AI-Driven Supplement Firm Bioniq Secures $15 Million Series B Funding

London, UK – Bioniq, a company at the forefront of personalized supplements based on blood biomarker data, has successfully closed its $15 million Series B funding round. This oversubscribed round was led by prominent European venture capital firms HV Capital and Unbound, valuing the company at $75 million.

Founded in 2019, Bioniq plans to use the newly acquired funding to enhance its global footprint. The firm will concentrate on product development, including integration with a global network of laboratories, expanding its market operations and human resources in the U.S. and the Middle East, and implementing a corporate platform aimed at medical, wellness, and athletic institutions.

The company has gained traction due to its unique approach to health supplements, tailoring products based on an individual’s data and health objectives. Over the past 12 months, Bioniq has recorded significant growth, particularly in the U.S., which now accounts for over half of its customer base. Some regions have seen a growth rate exceeding 500% in the last two quarters alone.

Bioniq’s system enables users to observe their nutrient needs and optimisation progress through quantifiable before-and-after snapshots. This has been particularly valuable in partnerships with leading health and sports institutions, including Lanserhof and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The product has been adopted by top athletes such as Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot and former NBA All-Star Andrei Kirilenko, who use Bioniq to optimise their micronutrient levels and enhance their performance and recovery.

Vadim Fedotov, Bioniq’s co-founder and CEO, commented: “We’ve entered a new era in nutritional supplementation over the last six years, where it’s become clear that one-size-fits-all solutions are simply inefficient. Everyone’s health journey is unique and fluid. Customers need advanced, adaptable products that provide evolving support for personal health goals. Our AI-driven approach and extensive biochemical database allow us to create customized supplements that provide quantifiable results and cater to individuals’ specific needs. Beyond meeting consumer demand, we’re setting a new standard in the industry by making the process and results transparent to the users.”

Bioniq offers two main products for personalised health optimisation. Bioniq PRO is designed for high performers and health enthusiasts, incorporating blood biomarker data into its algorithm. Users can upload existing bloodwork or book a blood test via a partner lab. A tailor-made daily supplement formula is then created based on the analysis. Additionally, 1:1 nutrition consultations with a Registered Dietitian are available.

The second product, Bioniq GO, provides a more accessible option. Users complete a questionnaire, which the AI algorithm uses to recommend a unique supplement blend based on the responses and previous users’ blood biomarker data.

All Bioniq supplements are pharmaceutical-grade and Swiss-made, employing precise micro-dosing to address individual needs and deficiencies. Each formula features a unique mix of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, amino acids, and prebiotic fibre, delivered in patented prebiotic guar granules designed to maximise bioavailability.

David Kuczek, General Partner at HV Capital, highlighted Bioniq’s exceptional growth and its innovative approach, stating, “Bioniq’s exceptional growth is a testament to its innovative approach for high-quality personalised health solutions that professional athletes across the world rely on. With sales from across 60 countries, with the majority coming from North America, the most important market for health solutions globally, Bioniq is well-positioned to continue its trajectory of rapid expansion.”

Shravin Mittal, CEO of Unbound, further supported this view, observing, “Bioniq’s innovative approach to nutrition is based on the idea that everyone has different nutritional needs and deficiencies and that generic multivitamins are not enough to address them. We are impressed by Bioniq’s vision and technology, and we believe they are disrupting the supplement industry with their personalized and science-based approach. We are excited to support them as they grow and scale their business.”

Since its launch in London, Bioniq has developed an extensive proprietary biochemical database, incorporating blood test data from customers across five continents. The company has created unique formulas for over 100,000 users, addressing individual nutrient deficiencies as identified through blood results.
