It also underscores Iran\u2019s strategy of using proxy militias to stretch US forces across multiple fronts, from Iraq to the Gulf to Syria.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strategic outlook<\/strong><br \/>The SPR\u2019s decision to claim an attack on US forces marks a turning point in Syria\u2019s post-Assad insurgency.
