London-based contractor Balfour Beatty has committed \u00a37.2 million (about $9.6 million) to deploy Microsoft\u2019s AI assistant, Microsoft 365 Copilot, across its UK operations, the company announced on 31 July. According to the announcement, the investment will fund an enterprise-wide roll\u2011out intended to automate routine work, improve consistency and boost productivity across project delivery and site operations.<\/p>\n
The company says Copilot will be embedded within Microsoft 365 applications \u2014 including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive \u2014 and will operate inside Balfour Beatty\u2019s compliant, confidential IT estate rather than through publicly available tools.
