IBS Software has launched its innovative Agentic AI suite at the Cargo Forum in New Delhi, promising to accelerate digitalisation and predictive operations in global air cargo through AI-powered virtual agents integrated within its iCargo platform.
IBS Software has announced a significant advancement in air cargo management technology at the 25th edition of its annual Cargo Forum in New Delhi. The company unveiled its new Agentic AI suite—an innovative set of AI-powered virtual agents integrated within its iCargo platform—that promises to transform how airlines and cargo handlers operate by bringing unprecedented intelligence, speed, and predictive capabilities to critical workflows. According to Radhesh Menon, Head of Cargo & Logistics Solutions at IBS Software, these AI agents act as digital copilots, enabling cargo teams to recover revenue more rapidly, respond instantly to disruptions, and deliver personalised customer experiences at scale. This shift from reactive to predictive operations aims to increase efficiency and accuracy while reducing manual effort in areas including Revenue Management, Customer Service, Mail Management, and Sales.
The Agentic AI suite introduces conversational virtual agents that interact in natural language, providing users with contextual insights and real-time recommendations. Beyond simple responses, these AI agents proactively predict outcomes, recommend actions, and explain anomalies, helping businesses optimise yield, resolve customer queries instantly, and flag irregularities in mail and sales processes. The platform’s approach combines conversational interfaces to enhance customer experience, intelligent virtual agents driving operational excellence, and an AI-first culture that democratizes data insights across teams. IBS Software claims this suite enables measurable business benefits such as faster revenue recovery, improved service levels, and significant reductions in manual workload, while maintaining trust, compliance, and scalability for global cargo operations.
This development comes amid growing adoption of the iCargo platform by major air cargo players worldwide. Notably, MSC Air Cargo recently partnered with IBS Software to digitally transform its global air cargo operations using iCargo, gaining comprehensive visibility and actionable business insights across its entire cargo value chain. Similarly, Air India has selected the iCargo platform to support its expanding cargo operations, aiming to fully digitise end-to-end cargo management within nine months of project initiation. China Airlines and Delta Cargo have also chosen iCargo to modernise and digitally transform their cargo management systems, respectively, focusing on seamless integration, operational efficiency, and proactive data-driven decision-making.
IBS Software’s iCargo platform adheres to leading industry standards such as Cargo iQ, C-XML, OneRecord, e-AWB, and e-Freight, ensuring compatibility and compliance with global air cargo initiatives. This allows the platform to support multi-modal logistics operations effectively, driving efficiency and productivity crucial for global trade and growth. The integration of the Agentic AI suite into iCargo therefore represents not just an upgrade in technology but a step toward creating a highly intelligent, interconnected digital ecosystem for air cargo operations worldwide.
