eGifter introduces eGifter.ai, a pioneering platform integrating artificial intelligence to innovate gift card technology, enhance industry collaboration, and expand market accessibility, including a new Spanish-language marketplace.
eGifter, a prominent player in gift card technology, has launched a new platform, eGifter.ai, aimed at spearheading the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in the gift card industry. The Huntington, New York-based company unveiled this innovative website to explore how AI could transform the future of gift cards and stimulate greater collaboration within the industry.
The launch of eGifter.ai introduces two key features: “A Conversation with AI,” an evolving Q&A that investigates AI’s potential impact on stored value, encouraging input from a wide community of merchants, developers, and industry stakeholders; and “Inside the eGifter AI Roadmap,” which provides a transparent view of how eGifter applies AI across its ecosystem. Notably, the roadmap highlights the shift from traditional search engine optimization (SEO) to Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), anticipating new consumer engagement through agentic commerce—a next-generation digital shopping model where AI agents assist and influence purchase decisions.
Tyler Roye, CEO and co-founder of eGifter, emphasised the need to proactively integrate gift cards into evolving ecommerce frameworks. He reflected on past challenges when gift cards struggled to align with conventional online product models, causing operational inefficiencies for merchants. Roye warned that as commerce shifts towards AI-driven, agentic approaches, the gift card sector must avoid being sidelined again. The eGifter.ai initiative is positioned as an inclusive, industry-wide effort to foster strategic AI innovation, ensuring gift cards remain vital in future shopping paradigms.
This launch complements other recent advancements by eGifter to modernise and secure gift card commerce. Earlier in 2025, the company introduced eGifter SmartKYB™, an automated business verification service aimed at streamlining the Know Your Business process for B2B gift card transactions. This platform enhances due diligence by integrating government registries, executing Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) checks, verifying bank accounts, and generating detailed reports. According to Tracey Klein, eGifter’s Senior Vice President, SmartKYB™ plays a crucial role in mitigating fraud risks and fostering trustworthy business relationships amid growing demand for digital rewards.
Further strengthening its commitment to modernisation, eGifter relaunched its eGifter Merchants™ platform with upgraded fraud prevention, SmartKYB™ integration, and customizable white-label capabilities. Roye noted that the updated site addresses the unique operational and security challenges brands face in gift card programmes, offering greater control and flexibility to scale both B2B and consumer-focused initiatives. This relaunch underscores eGifter’s strategy to evolve legacy systems and reduce risks, aligning with broader shifts in the digital commerce environment.
Notably, eGifter also broadened its market reach by launching a Spanish-language version of its consumer-facing gift card marketplace, targeting the 41 million Spanish speakers in the United States. This move recognises the substantial purchasing power of the Latino community, estimated at $3.4 trillion, and reflects eGifter’s efforts to cater to diverse consumer needs within a multilingual landscape.
Together, these developments illustrate eGifter’s multifaceted approach to innovation—leveraging AI to transform the gift card experience, enhancing security and operational efficiency in B2B sales, and expanding access to diverse consumer markets. The introduction of eGifter.ai is a forward-looking step towards shaping the gift card industry’s future amid the rise of AI-powered commerce.
