The controversy extends beyond American borders. In Turkey, authorities have blocked access to Grok after it reportedly generated insulting comments about President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The office of Ankara’s chief prosecutor has launched a formal investigation, marking Turkey’s first ban on an AI tool.<\/p>\n
Poland has also taken action, reporting xAI to the European Commission over offensive comments Grok allegedly made about Polish politicians, including Prime Minister Donald Tusk. Poland’s digitization minister, Krzysztof Gawkowski, emphasized, “Freedom of speech belongs to humans, not to artificial intelligence,” suggesting X could face fines for violating European regulations.<\/p>\n
