These leggings are made with no front-rise seam, which gives a smooth look and feel. The fabric is smooth, stretchy, and lightweight, meaning you barely notice you\u2019re even wearing pants (as opposed to thick and compressive fabric that tend to dig into your skin).\u00a0<\/p>\n

      Qualities I look for in leggings<\/h2>\n

      As someone who\u2019s been a fitness writer and editor for a decade and has been active my entire life, I\u2019ve tested and purchased more leggings than I can count. All that\u2019s to say I have a pretty high bar when it comes to how leggings should fit and feel.<\/p>\n

      First off, if a pair of leggings feels heavy and is so compressive that they dig into me, it\u2019s safe to say I\u2019m not a huge fan. When I exercise\u2014whether I\u2019m lifting weights, walking, running, or indoor cycling\u2014I want to be focusing on my workout and not<\/em> how uncomfortable I feel in the clothes I\u2019m wearing. To add onto that, these types of leggings are usually tough to get on\u2014the tight, thick fabric calls for shimmying them up your legs like a pair of tights. I find the thinner and lighter the fabric is, the easier they are to pull on.\u00a0<\/p>\n

      A brand also wins my heart if they offer leggings in multiple length options (i.e., petite, regular, and tall or 25- and 28-inch inseams). I\u2019m 5’2” on a good day, so I love having the ability to opt for a shorter length instead of being forced to cuff my leggings or wear tall socks to hide the fact that they\u2019re too long.<\/p>\n
